This series consists of correspondence, documents, and forms related to the sale of the Mount Pleasant Indian School and Agency to the State of Michigan. Included are employee property lists and in some instances return of property forms. There is an inventory of buildings and property and transfer documents related to the sale. Also included are correspondence and requests from the State of Michigan prior to the transfer regarding number of employees working at Mount Pleasant Indian School and Agency along with the debts owed for various State of Michigan Civilian Works Agency projects.

Mount Pleasant Indian Industrial Boarding School in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, was established by an act of the United States Congress in 1891.
